Little leftovers for local hospital quilt auction

2 Attachment(s)
Every fall our local hospital auxiliary holds a quilt auction. This is my first time to donate. As always the blocks are made from leftover scraps and the quilt develops from there. The 9P are 3/4" finished while the triple four patch are 1 1/2" finished.

Very nice!

Wonderful!! and to think I am a lucky owner of an original mini made by Oksewglad!! You can do that so well, I fell very blessed with mine on the wall.

You have been busy, so its OK to take a time out for your other projects. It just adds to the suspense of waiting...to view your 'eye' candy when you do post on PC trail.

Wow, those are really small. Nice job.

debcavan 08-29-2012 06:41 AM

Are they darling. They are so small, I can't imagine how you did that.

Raggiemom 08-29-2012 06:44 AM

Great job, I don't have the patience to work with such small pieces and admire those of you who do.

Jingle 08-29-2012 08:11 AM

Both are beautiful, very great work.

This proves the old adage "Good things come in small packages"! These are just adorable & my oh my! Such teeny pieces! Great job!

Those are just darlin'!

BuzzinBumble 08-31-2012 08:02 AM

Those are astonishing! I don't know how you do such teeny nine patches with such accuracey and am very impressed!
Have you ever done the Doll Quilt Swap? Today is the last day to sign up for September. Or do you prefer your efforts go to support charities? You certainly do wonderful work for them!

oksewglad 08-31-2012 09:30 AM

The first quilt I made this size was one to "see if I could". Surprisingly I could and I have become addicted!!
And yes I am an "old" doll quilt swapper, and have 19 of them to prove it
:). But just how many little quilts can one have? I so enjoy making them and yes I do a lot of donation work as well as gifting. My SIL from NM and my sister from WVa were here earlier in the month and guess what--they went home with some of my extras. So the next ones I make will be for me until they strike someone's fancy and find a new home.

:o I only recently found the DQ swap and it's a nice bunch of folks! So I don't have a clue who the "old" stalwart founding members were. Hmmmm... it sounds llike you are over run with miniature quilts... Is there such a thing as too many? LOL! Your SIL & DS are lucky ducks!

jojosnana 08-31-2012 01:01 PM

Take a bow......I can't imagine working that small.

MimiBug123 09-16-2012 07:13 AM

Oh how cute! You must have more patience than I do! I would never get those tiny little pieces together.

oksewglad 09-16-2012 07:40 AM

The auction was yesterday. I was pleased with the results. The red one netted $75 and the black $80. Personally I like the red one better.

OMG OK"SGlad ... I missed this thread until I saw it linked from the PC one!

Another wonderful pair ... and what a great bonus to the hospital fund.

Wouldn't it be interesting to know the story of your minis and where they have all travelled to.
hhmmmmm ... you could write a book!

adnil458 10-14-2012 12:20 PM
