Sorry he is so sick -- such a little guy to be going through this and a tough road ahead. I'm sure your quilt will be comfort to him during his treatments -- great for snuggling!
For a fundraiser, why not suggest you make a quilt to donate that they could raffle at whatever fundraisers they do for him? My cousin's grandson passed away in Oct 2009 at age 13 from bone cancer. The parents have since started an annual 5K Run in his memory -- I donated a quilt for their pre-5K gathering raffle! It really made me feel good to pay-it-back and I'll be doing the same this year in September. Best wishes for your young relative and hope he has a speedy recovery. |
Neat quilt I'm sure he is going to enjoy using it.
|
Wow this is beautiful. I am sure it will boost his spirits.

This will brighten his day for sure!!!

A special quilt for a special young man. He has a lot to deal with and the quilt will be his buddy. Thank you for being so thoughtful.
|
That's a wonderful idea, and gathering signatures will hopefully cheer him up. So sorry.
|
This is so sunny and will bring him a lot of Love .It lets your heart show doesn't it? I make quilts for cancer patients. They are always given with prayers. I will pray for him too. Marvel

Ahhhh, what a bright, cheery idea for the rough road ahead. May all the messages of his friends and being wrapped in it help him through it all. Prayers for a complete recovery.
|
It will be fun for him to be able to wrap up in that quilt and pick out names of friends and others that care so much. What a thoughtful thing to do. He is added to our prayer list

What a nice thing to do. Hope all goes well.
|
So pretty! I hope he'll be healthy soon.
I made 2 quilts and some pillowcases for two boys with cancer. They both liked to surround themselves with pillows made of "their" cases. You might want to do a few of those, also. Fighting cancer is a tough, tough job for anyone, especially a child. I think you'll be surprised how much the quilt will help him. Sometimes the patient gets very chilled during treatment and the quilt is a little touch of warmth and security. Your quilt is adorable and I'm sure he'll love it. The parents will appreciate your love shown thru the quilt. Blessings to the whole family...I feel so sad when I hear about a child dealing with this disease. |
Sorry to hear about the little boy, this quilt should really boost his spirits. I love the quilt and the colors are fantastic. He can now have others sign his quilt - good job.
|
What a bright happy quilt. I'm sure he'll appreciate it.
|
Sending prayers. Very cute!!

Thanks a lot Faten I use sharpie pens to sign, then iron to heat set the ink. The pattern is a signature block. This is a 6" white square with a 3" colored square sewn in the corners. |
