Little Step Quilt starting...

I got the squares ready to be pressed. I laid out the squares to make sure I had enough (so pardon the unevenness) and the labeled each row and put them in ziploc bags. This blanket will be for my upcoming cousin, due on my birthday!

It's going to be lovely.

Love the colors and layout. I see you have a great helper there also.

Lovely. Looks like your quilt inspector approves too.

Beautiful! Looks like someone else has already claimed it. :D

Lively lil quilt for a baby, your kitty looks like my kitty from the back, lol

tngal22 04-25-2012 05:03 AM

Thanks. It is sock monkey fabric, flannel. And yes Mr. Eko loved it, as did the other furbabies. Lol

I really love your colors and quilt.

tngal22 04-25-2012 05:49 AM

Thanks! It is a kit I picked up at Windy Moon Quilts while I was in Reno. When I saw it, I knew it would be a perfect quilt for the baby. It is Cluck Cluck Sew Little Steps pattern.

I didn't get a picture of it but another of the cats laid down in the middle and tried to take a nap.

I, too, love the fabrics & the lay out. I'm not familiar with this pattern but I sure do like it. Looks like the quilt inspector is on duty today... LOL! Too cute (the quilt & the kitty cat)!

In all honestly, it looks more complicated then it is. I had 64 squares that I had to sew the white strips to then 8 bigger squares with no white on them, then just layout so that it looks like steps.

This is the pattern I used. It comes with both instructions.

Very nice, even with that blk spot near the top! LOL!!

tngal22 04-25-2012 01:13 PM

lol...well that black spot won't go with the blanket when I am done. Though I am sure he thinks he needs it more. Funny thing, I made them pillows and he is the only one that uses them. They like my freshly laid out fabric the best.

It's looking good! Please show us again when you have it completed! :)

That will be a cute quilt. You're very organized. It should go together easily.

Thanks! My DD will be at her grandparents' this weekend so I hope to work on the quilt.
