She looks pleased as punch to have made that square!
It's so great that you are spending time with her and teaching her a craft. She will remember these together times all her life.
I still have fond memories of spending time at my aunt's house (who lived next door) when I was a kid. She taught me to crochet Barbie clothes and gave me a life-long love of that craft...

Bless her heart. She is some quilter.

I just love to see these little quilters. I am glad that my 15 year old granddaughter has taken to quilting and I am praying that my 12 year old granddaughter will start to show some initiative in quilting (it would bless my daughter-in-law greatly!)

I've attached Judy's original block also. I did a simple zig zag stitch to preserve the integrity of her idea. It's not my best work (lol) but I was just doing as I was told. I love how this girl has a genuine respect for the craft. She has me sewing all day long when she comes over.

My grand-nephew is like that. He 'designed' a 4 patch block and we made it into a 'butt warmer' for his bird. He does have an imagination...

Enjoy your time with your sweet niece!
