Then you just trim the blocks up and piece then QAYG method - pieced and quilted in one hit! You can always add a second, decorative backing if you bon't like all the seams on the back and just ditch quilt round the blocks or tie to hold it. I've done this with my own cut strips but keep looking at jelly rolls thinkin - got to get some of those, bet I could make a quilt in an afternoon!

I did a log cabin using muslin foundation piecing once and it sounds like much the same thing, adding the batting and backing. I haven't done a QAYG before but it's on the list to try.

Pam, You certainly are talented. I love seeing all the beautiful quilts you make. Log cabins are really nice, so many ways to put them together.

My grandson is doing just great. :)

I'm in Pittsburg, California. It's in the San Francisco Bay Area, called East Bay. I was born and raised in a town nearby.

I thought not Pittsburgh PA....no H at the end lol. I am somewhat familiar with East Bay. I have a cousin who lives in Pacifica. She has friends in East Bay and we visit sometimes when i am there.
