I finally finished this top and it's huge, about 92 x 116. I don't know how to have my quilter quilt it though. An overall design since the quilting is so busy? Custom quilting in the furrows? Any suggestions?
Would this be too large for a King layout of this pattern does anyone think? Does anyone know if there is a pattern for this quilt layout? |
Gorgeous quilt! I too would like to see it after it is quilted!

The log cabin is one of my favorite quilts. You have done a beautiful job on this lay out. Love it.

Lovely top!

Gorgeous quilt. I especially love the setting of the blocks that you arranged. Either quilting pattern would look nice.

Very nice! I love the layout.

What a surprise to see this pop up after 6-7 years. As I recall the strips were 2.5”. You don’t really need a pattern for the layout. Just play with your blocks until you find what you like. You can Google log cabin patterns and see many different designs. I played around with a lot before I settled on this one. I’ll have to see if I can find a picture of it after it was quilted. It’s been on my son and daughter-in-law’s bed since their wedding.

We’ll see if this works. Haven’t posted pictures on here in years.

Love it! Sorry no suggestions on quilting! My LAQ usually have suggestions when I take mine to her! So yours May too if you’re taking it to a LAQ!

great placement of all the log cabin blocks to create a design. I would go with an overall design using a pantograph. When I had made a quilt top for my son at Tulane U in NOLA, I asked my quilter to use a pantograph using the Fleur-de-lys to represent NOLA. Do you have an underlying theme for this quilt? if so, maybe your quilter has a pantograph to accompany your theme.:o
