:-D :-D :-D :-D I was wondering if any one has any idea as to how I should quilt the borders on this table topper. I did the free motion on the Fab-u-Motion tonight. I did not have any problems with thread breakage like I usually do and it was fun. I just have to train my left shoulder to relax. It was so much fun using it. Any ideas on the border? Enjoy the picture. Huggies, Fay Sorry the picture doesn't do it justice....P.S. Next time I will not do the extra loft thing on the feathered wreaths. Not sure if I like it or not, but I'm sure Sis will love it.

Wow that is absolutely gorgeous. I love your feather wreaths. I would continue the feather theme and just make them have a curvy look to them on your borders. Awesome job and table topper - I thought it was a full size quilt when I first looked at it.
Thanks, Sherryl Candlequilter |
Gorgeous. I love the colors and the quilting!
Gorgeous!!!
Really pretty topper. You could put plastic over the borders and draw different designs on it to see what pattern you like best with it.
Im no help, just wanted to say your topper is beautiful
I would continue the feather around the border.
So far, so gorgeous!!!

You did a "fab" job with the quilting. I'm still trying to master my Fab U Motion. Your post gives me hope. |

:D :D :D I'm doing that right now. I made a template with my own drawing and I took an awl and put holes in the plastic template and it's sort like a dot to dot thing and it is working out great. I didn't get my math quite right but that is the beauty of it all. Where I have a little gap I put in some smaller feathers and then continue on and I'm half way around it now. I can see a blue ribbon pinned on it now. Fat chance on that. I should make one and enter it in the Clallam Co. Fair next Summer and see what happens. My quilting isn't super duper, but I could get 2nd or 3rd place or even an honorable mention for a disabled old bag like me.    Huggies, Fay |
Beautiful! You're doing a great job, just keep going!!! :>)
Beautiful work! What about feathered scallops or feathered swags on the boarders. Miniature 8 point stars?
I gave it to my sister today and she just loves it. We took it over to Sequim to show it to Mom and she thought it was great too. Right now I'm working on my stratosphere quilt and I have two corners to put on it, but will do that tomorrow as it is late and I need to hit the sack yet. I still have the other two lone star table toppers to quilt and finsh yet too. I alway manage to start some thing before I'm finshed with what I'm doing. Have a great night, Huggies, Fay
