Oh my goodness. Cutest darn longhorn I ever did see. Nice job!
I love it. I raised Texas Longhorns for years a friend of mine and Longhorn cattle raiser has always wanted me to make her one of these. May I ask where you got the pattern I would love to buy it. Thank you for sharing
great job on your longhorn project
It does look hard and you did a great job!!!
I found the pattern at the quilt show in Dallas and in Houston, but Susan Cranshaw is from Wimberly, TX. You might be able to find the pattern on her web site, if she should have one.
Thanks everyone for your kind words!! |
Just went through Pflugerville after visiting relatives who are alums of UT. I guess the proper response would be Lock "em Horns! It does look hard, but you did a great job.
I like it! And it does look like it was fun to make, great use of batiks.
Wow! You did a great job on it! Very nice!
That is one cool longhorn, great job, I would attempt making that now that you say it wasn't hard.
I would describe it as impressive. I don't know about fun.
Love it. When I saw it, I just knew you are from Texas!

Awesome, great job!!!!!
That's a wonderful longhorn quilt!
Great job!
I bet finding the right fabrics was the toughest part in making this. |
This a cool wallhanging!! I have loved longhorns ever since my husband got on one in Texas where we were visiting family!!!!!!!!!!
Your wallhanging is amazing! Love it
Love it; being from Texas, just gotta love it (even if your're not). Beautiful job.
VERY COOL! I love this interpretation including the landscape and sky as well as the beast. We just got back from an RV jaunt (50 days) and saw some of these wonderful creatures on our trip. DH can't stop for everything I want a photo of, so we got no pics, but my memory is intact on this one- Love those longhorns.
good job! Sometimes we just have to jump in, don't we? Now I need to take my own advice on a few projects I have!! :)
Awsome quilt. You did a fantastic job.
Wonderful job! He represents Texas all the way.
So glad you decided to make it. Although Susan's patterns look difficult, they really aren't (except maybe the armadillo). She has perfected the machine applique technique so that anyone can do it. Your longhorn turned out terrific. Now go try the horned toads. Those are such fun.
Very cool!
Pretty cool!!!!!!!!!!!!
It is a Susan Cranshaw pattern. I believe you can look for her on line and buy it. I got mine at Houston Quilt Show.
absolutely love the fabrics you used.
Oh that is cute.
I made that longhorn, too! And I took longer than two years to start it because it looked too hard. But it wasn't. I still haven't bought the fabric to make the background yet. And my husband told me my longhorn colors are all wrong. :(
You did a great job! |
How cool is that!
Love your picture here, just my style. I love farm animals of any kind. I just think I am going to keep on looking for fabrics that might just work for me to try this quilt picture. You did an excellent job. Keep making more, I will be here looking to view them.
