I live in a small town with lots of retirees and with garage & estate sales I've found some great bargains. My latest score is the best ever. All the fabric was plastic wrapped in large bundles and priced at 50 cents each. I bought 3 bundles. A box with 7 cones of thread cost $1.00. Each bundle weighed over 4 pounds. There are two 5 yard pieces with the rest ranging from 1 yard to 4 inch blocks. There was one 12 inch pinwheel block. I see several scrappy quilts in my future.
As I was taking pictures, my fabric inspector arrived. That handsome little fellow is Jasper, a 3 year old red Abyssinian. Marilyn |
Nice score on the fabric. Beautiful cat - I have 2 quilt inspectors who "help" me quite a bit with my fabric choices.

What a great deal.
Every once in a while I'll runn across a deal like that. Feels good doesn't it? |
Looks like a good deal. I have been cleaning out for my move & the hardest part was getting rid of some of my fabric. But I was good I gave a lot awayto a church group that makes quilts for cancer patients & bags for walkers for peoplein nursing homes. Also gave yarn thatthey use for sick babies. At least it went for a great cause.I still have plenty to sew with. Now that I retired I wont have to go shopping for any.i'll be busy. :):)

What a great deal! That looks like such a treasure and the fabric inspector is very pretty. He/she looks like the boss too.
