Such a great gift, now you have more money to spend on fabrics. Oh, love the quilt as well.

Wow, that is neat, could he post the measurements and how he put it together? Great idea!

Some of us single ladies need someone like your sweet hubby around when it comes to projects like that. Seriously, your DH did a great job for you. Now make some beautiful quilts to show us.

QweenBee 08-08-2010 08:34 PM

What a good guy!

I have that same cabinet you have your machine in. Mine was called a craft center (I think) but it didn't come with the hole for the machine. Did yours??? Please don't tell me your hubby did it, I don't have one, hubby, that is lol

Happy Tails 08-09-2010 03:17 AM

OMG nevermnd, I'm seeing things. Yours doesn't have the hole either, I went back to study your picture LOLOL I bought mine from sears and just finished putting it together.. Havent got my quilting room set up yet, but do you love the cabinet??

My DH is not going to be happy when I show him your picture and tell him I want one of those too!

Feathers 08-09-2010 06:46 AM

What a great table extension! I'm sure you are going to love the extra room. The quilt on the table looks pretty impressive, too.l Thanks for sharing.

My husband can work on cars, fix electrical and plumbing problems in the house but he cannot build anything. We have been married for 42 years so I guess I will keep him and if I need a table I will just save the money and buy one. I love your table.

Kitsie 08-09-2010 03:13 PM

Wow, great little business idea!

Great idea! He did such a great job. I will have to show my dh.
How did he attach it to the sewing table? And what are the two things coming out of the side, looks like hinges? Sally

n2scraplvr 08-10-2010 08:20 PM

What a sweetie he is -- I gotta find me one!! lol. Enjoy it!!! ;) ;)

sidmona 08-11-2010 03:58 AM

He used two pieces of shelving and some strips of wood to keep them together. He used a folding table leg for one side and latches to hold it to my machine table. I'm still working on him to make a tutorial.

Terri C 08-11-2010 04:01 AM

Great idea, it's always nice when we can save that kind of money.
