Look what DH made for me!
 

I finally have a rack to put my big cones on and next to it a lightbox.
Considering the fact that DH`s profession is not even close to any craftmanship he did a very good job! And suffers from blisters on both hands.......:-)
He also made breakfast for me and since he was in my sewing room to put the rack on the wall he updated my Computer - it is really fast again!

That is wonderful. How do you use the lightbox?

there is a bright light inside the box and a milky glas on top. Its a help to trace a pattern to freezerpaper or fabric for example.

He's a keeper! I really like that thread rack, better than any others i've seen! Maybe it's the mouth watering spools you have loaded on it! The craftsmanship on that light box looks like a professional did it.

thank you all so much for the birthday wishes and for all comenting on the woodwork of the wall here a full view pic of that corner of my sewing room. The black forest kuckucks watch is a family treasure (DH side!!!!!!) and nobody wanted it in another room, thats why it hangs there. Turned off by the way, it makes a hell of a kuckuck every quarter hour.............

my husband made me two light boxes for paper piecing, a small one with glass & light bulb and the big one with florescent light and plexie glass. Love your thread holder. Your husband is a keeper.
