A great day for yard sales and I came across all this for $8.
Most of the smaller pieces are at least 18x22, the black and beige fabric is 4 yds, the kittens 3 yds, the pink 3 yds and the flowers 3 yds. The pattern were a bonus and I have no interest in making any of them, so once my status becomes "regular" again I will post them for sale. The felt, batting and plastic sheets (I forgot what they are called) were also included.

My status on the board fell to inactive since I have not been on here regularly to post and I feel like I have fallen behind on my projects since my surgery. I am slowly getting back to being a little more active (I hemmed my son's curtains for him). I get too tired, too fast and have spent most of the days sleeping; which is what the doctor suggests for now. Since it was major surgery and very invassive (I can't even lift anything heavier than a telephone book), I will just have to do a little at a time until I am fully recovered. Family have pitched in and for that I am very grateful.

Anyway, I am just tickled what I got and my stash is growing now very rapidly. Boy do I have a selection. I think I see a log cabin in the future.

Wow, great yard sale find, I don't have such luck at yard sales..Wishing you the best during your recovery

jetnica 12-04-2010 07:10 PM

1st - great news that you are recovering! I just had surgery too and i am also dissapointed in myself in my lack of energy -- but you're right it's exactly what the dr. tells us. I try to stay "up" by reminding myself how much better I'll feel when i'm all healed up.

2nd - congrats on your haul! that's a great big ray of sunshine~!

craftybear 12-04-2010 07:22 PM

Aren't yard sales wonderful!!!! I'm glad that you are doing better but listen to the doc. Take time to heal.

Wow! You made out like a bandit, as my stepdad would say!
Just a reminder, in case you didn't know/remember, messages on classifieds and PM's DO NOT Count toward becoming a regular again! (I thought PM's did, and fell off recently.)
Just go down the page of unread topics, reply briefly to lots of them, and you can be a "regular" again in one or two evenings!
No lifting required!

jemma 12-04-2010 11:51 PM

take time to heal--thats what your bodies telling you--afternoons lie on the bed read a book/quilt magazine set your alarm for 1 hour in case you go to sleep--gental excersises are important---after nursing for 40 years i learnt how long recovary truly takes watching my son+daughters long recovary after multi trauma---great score

seazteddy 12-04-2010 11:51 PM

I got a quilt top and queen sized quilt that is all done but the binding for $4 and some other fabrics that I will donate to the thrift store.

KiwiQuilter 12-05-2010 12:16 AM

Great job! I'm happy for you.

Happy Stash Building. Take it easy and listen to your body - just because they send people home form the hospital sooner these days, doesn't mean the people are RECOVERED. Don't forget to eat healthy - lots of protein, and drink fluids.
Try to get outside for a little fresh air and sunshine too - you'll feel less cabin fever.

charismah 12-05-2010 09:05 AM
