Look What I Made Last Night! Ugly Jelly Roll 1600
2 Attachment(s)
I've never made a Jelly Roll 1600 before, but someone posted one on here earlier in the week and it inspired me. At Christmas time, I bought a "grab bag" from Craftsy, and one of the things in it was a kinda ugly jelly roll. Here's the result:
Top on my design wall. Fabric detail. It's kind of busy, eh? But I was amazed at how fat it went together. I think I will back it with yellow and donate it to our United Way auction at work, which we hold in the fall. |
I think the fact that it is busy, makes it all the more interesting. If you really didn't like the fabric, this was probably a good use for it.

Give it time it will grow on you . I like it .. all the colors and patterns in the fabric make it very interesting.
|
I agree. the finishing will make this quilt.
|
Definitely colorful! Great job though!
|
It will be a great place to practice your FMQ on and it is bright and cheerful!
|
I think that quilting will make your ugly duckling a swan. I agree with Tartan, it will be a good practice piece for FMQ.

I really like the fabric and the combination - it looks Persian to me. I would add a narrow solid border and then a wider patterned border and a dark binding. If you don't like it, send it to me because it really appeals to me.

um, wait a minute! i think the first supportive post deserves the first chance at this quilt ;-)
|
I really like it!!!!!!
