Yes she does. But she also does so many other things that she rarely quilts. She spins and weaves, smocks, heirloom sewing, woodworking, stained glass, hand embroidery, machine embroidery, poly clay, ceramics, glass etching and engraving, painting, gardens, I could go on and on. Plus she is semi retired from her custom drapery business and full time care giver to my dad who is on hospice and has to take care of the yard too. And she is 76 years young!

She is one busy lady! Oh and she spends about 2 hours per day talking with me on the phone! We laugh and cry together daily.
You are a very lucky lady to have such a wonderful mother. She sounds like a great friend.

What a wonderful surprise from your mom and all those fabrics are gorgeous! Did she pick them out to go with the pattern or was it a kit? You mom sounds like an amazing lady. Maybe the completed quilt would be a nice gift right back to her.

The store had the quilt on display so she purchased the fabric that was used in that quilt.

That's a pattern I recently added to my list of "quilts to do". Your fabrics are beautiful so I am sure your quilt will be also.

I just made this pattern in purple hues. Easy to do and it comes out beautiful.

Those fabrics are right up my alley. I have about 3yds of the asian fabric on the right side. Mums with cranes. I am going to make pillow cases with them. Looks like Kona Bay fabric. All the fabrics a incredible.
