I looked out my back door and this was about 100 yards from the house by an old deer feeder. He eventually tore the feeded down looking for food.

MrsM 08-22-2011 09:02 AM

Oh so cute from a distance.

PamB8s 08-22-2011 09:04 AM

He was so beautiful, I could not stop watching him. I was safe by a door so I just stayed and enjoyed it :)

The heat and lack of rain has driven wildlife closer to homes for sure. A bobcat jumped out of the brush when my DH as mowing in the riverbank in front of our house. I don't know who was the most surprised:) Love your photo.

Beautiful shot.

debcavan 08-22-2011 09:05 AM

Oh my, I was hoping for a picture of a sweet child.

Thusnelda 08-22-2011 09:05 AM

Wow, amazing what you folks can glimpse from your back door.

PamB8s 08-22-2011 09:06 AM

That would scare me to death it something like that jumped out by me.

quiltinggirl 08-22-2011 09:07 AM

OMG- that is a little to close for comfort for me! He/she is adorable though. :)

I figure yogi here at just a couple years old. :)

Ms Grace 08-22-2011 09:08 AM

Oh my! That's scary!!
We had a cougar attack one of our dogs about 2 years ago.
It happened in the forest just behind the house.
He survived, after a month in the vet.

Be careful!!

Being an obsessive animal lover, my first reaction was "Ah -cuddle!" How special!

AllStitchedUp 08-22-2011 09:08 AM

Beautiful Brown bear, probably thristy too.

PamB8s 08-22-2011 09:09 AM

I use to not worry anything about living in the country. But over the last few years we have more and more bears, mountain lions and the game and fish comission was kind enough to re-introduce rattle snakes to my lil mountain. hmmmmmmmm

Fabaddict 08-22-2011 09:10 AM

darn, that is getting too close to home

fabrichore 08-22-2011 09:47 AM

hello, he is cute but would not want to be close...

quiltsRfun 08-22-2011 09:58 AM

I'm glad to hear you were inside when your visitor arrived. Nice pic. Do you see bears often where you live?

amma 08-22-2011 10:54 AM

Wow! He was pretty comfortable around you :D:D:D

Sandee 08-22-2011 10:55 AM

I'd probably never go outside again if I saw that in my yard..........

Jingle 08-22-2011 11:05 AM

Very pretty, at a distance is the past way to enjoy him.

carolynbb 08-22-2011 11:09 AM

ok, as long as there is a good strong barrier between me and ANY bear - no matter how cute they are!!

blueangel 08-22-2011 12:02 PM

Too close for comfort.

lheartsl 08-22-2011 12:13 PM

yikes......

Gal 08-22-2011 12:25 PM

What a beautiful creature, but looking at his size I think I would rather have the possums which come into our trees from
time to time!

Sandra-P 08-22-2011 12:26 PM

He is beautiful. More and more we are seeing bears and other wild animals. Not sure if it is because their habitat is shrinking or what. Thank you for sharing.

Sassylass 08-22-2011 12:35 PM

Oh he is cute!! You may have to wear bells when you go out now. :)

vivoaks 08-22-2011 12:46 PM

Yep - really cute - from a distance!!!

Nettie Phillips 08-22-2011 06:30 PM

Oh, dear.

Maggie_1963 08-22-2011 08:32 PM

Oh my! You sure got a good pic of him! Hope he doesn't come any closer!

asmmauer 08-22-2011 08:36 PM

He's cute but I prefer my racoons!
