Good grief! It is almost May!!!

RedGarnet222 04-29-2011 04:26 PM

This is not unusual for our neck of the woods is it?

I have been up to alturas before. It is a lovely city. I woke up to some light snow here in reno this morning too. I guess the may 15th date is the last frost date for here, HUH?

Well I have seen snow on the ground here in northern nevada every month but august. I will never forget one snow storm on fourth of july through washoe valley blowing sideways that you couldn't see right in front of you. I was freezing cause I had shorts on and no jacket.

I hope you don't mind the snow. It sure is pretty.

Better than the tornadoes that ravished the Southeast. We have the wind, but in a sheltered spot we can enjoy temps reaching 60.

I am sitting in my living room with the windows open. Sorry I don't mean to rub your nose in it. The sunshine will bthere soon.

Ann L 04-29-2011 04:40 PM

I don't think Iwould be LOL, I would be crying! Windows open, sunshining and beautiful Carolina blue skies today. Sorry.

littlehud 04-29-2011 04:57 PM

Oh no. Please no more snow. I think we are all ready for spring.

xsquilter 04-29-2011 05:09 PM

I am so done with the white stuff, as I'm sure you are too!

Better than the water that is surrounding our area.

Sewfine 04-29-2011 05:23 PM

I can believe it. One year in Chicago we woke up Easter Sunday with snow.

I think in the northern states, we are just skipping spring and going straight to summer. It snowed yesterday in northern Michigan and the temps will be below normal for the next week or more.

Pickles 04-29-2011 10:18 PM

Yeah we are suppose to get snow here for Sunday, isn't that just plain silly since it's nearly May. It's been 93 here today
and then they talk of the white stuff. Lol

wanda lou 04-29-2011 11:16 PM

very pretty, I am one of the strange ones because I love winter and all the snow.

It beats the heat anyday.

WinSumLsSm 04-29-2011 11:49 PM

OMG! and I have been in our pool today... funny how the weather is

sewmuchmore 04-30-2011 04:51 AM

Wow, we are getting the pool open to use and you are having snow :? Glad I live in the south. ;-)
