I am so excited. I have wanted a treadle machine forever but never seem to run across one when I have any money. I found this today at a local Desert Industries....sorta Utah's version of the Salvation Army. Anyhow....I know it's rough in some spots but it works and I can't wait to get it all cleaned up and in it's spot in my sewing room!!

AWESOME!! Enjoy using it!!

Beautiful!! My sister sews on a treadle all the time and my mother did too. Mom said it helped to keep her joints limber. I can't keep it going in the right direction. Maybe I need practice. LOL

VERY NICE! :)

The machine and cabinet should both clean up nicely! Congrats...what are you going to name her?

Oh my, she is a beauty. I'm glad you rescued her.

I need a step by step 'tute on this. I don't know a thing about what goes into cleaning it all up. Is it expensive? Can you still get parts if it's in rough shape? How do you refinish the cabinet? How "new" will it look in the end? Tell me as much as you can, if you don't mind all my curiosity.

I think it's cool to restore things. I have a hard time visualizing from the "before" to the "after" largely because I don't know the process and what all goes into it.

awesome, have fun with your new toy!

Thanks everyone. I am so excited. I have wanted one for ages and I just could not resist this. Now I just need time to get her all cleaned up and shiny. She hasnt told me her name yet. I guess as I start working on her she will be less shy about it!
