I like it either way. You be the judge.

Really cute quilt, I'm sure it will be well loved, I especially like you elephants all in a row and the wonky log cabin blocks. VEry nicely done.

Very pretty.

Just curious why not make another row of wonky blocks?

Maralyn 11-07-2012 07:55 PM

Second photo much better.

I like your quilt! I am glad you changed the bottom. It did seem bottom heavy to me too but now it is more balanced. It's really very colorful and cute. Lucky baby!

On the first picture, the stripes look almost like a fringe, but it is more balanced on the last picture and almost provides a frame.

I wanted each block center to be a unique animal ... and there aren't any more unique ones. Originally, I was going to have these 6 wonky blocks arranged in 3 rows of 2, with sashing between and borders around. That would have given me the size I wanted. But, I just didn't like it. Anyway, once I put that striped fabric up against it, I had to figure out a way to incorporate it.

BTW, someone asked about the striped fabric. It is from Debi Hron for TImeless Treasures Fabrics (#DEBI-C 6721)

This is just too cute... and I do like the stripes at the bottom... reminds me of bamboo only colored...
