Hello.

I am searching for a specific fabric. My two friends and I started a friendship quilt, choosing different blocks and creating three of each block design. One of my friends has since passed and so my other friend and I are finishing her blocks for the quilt. I need a specific fabric to make a third of one of her patterns but I have no idea where she got it. I searched some quilt shops but nothing came close.

If you know what this fabric is called, where I could buy it, if you have some I could buy off of you, or any information, I would be more than grateful!

Thank you for your time.

So sorry I have never seen this fabric! I hope you are able to find it though. Ya, a great idea as said before is to check selveges.

Nope, no selvages. What I have is what I have.

We started the quilt at the beginning of this year. However, my friend has been collecting different fabrics for years and years.

Thank you for your advice =)

Sorry, no help here either, but hope you find it!

I have never seen this one either. But, a small suggestion??? I have a could scrappy programs that suggest you buy something very close to it and use that. Often you can find one that is so simular, you can hardly tell the difference.

Yes, I agree with Garnet. Possibly you could use a toile (toele? tiole?) You know what I mean. It would give you something to talk about and remember your friend when the difference comes up in conversation.

Sorry I haven't seen that fabric either, but when I typed green & white toile fabric into the search engine, there are quite a few pictured on e-bay....maybe take a look?

Is this fabric thicker than the rest? Looks more like a drapery fabric than a quilting fabric. Maybe check that out.

Try buying a plane background fabric and then scanning the other fabric in to your scanner and printing the fabric.
Hope you get what I mean.

why not get fabric as close as you can, but don't try for a perfect match. on the back label, say what happened and that her unfinished blocks have been left in to memorialize her unfinished life. or something like that. don't try to hide that fact. memories are what they are. in this small way, she'll be remembered.

Thank you all for your help! I finally found a very close match at one of the fabric stores near me.

Thank you again for all of your help!
