I saved this picture (and was "sure" I saved the directions) for the next quilt I'd like to do.... Now to find those directions - HA.... are they in bookmarks on QB, or bookmarks in Firefox, bookmarks in IE.... Or are they on the external hard-drive or the internal hard-drive?.... None of those so far, so I am appealing to 'our' collective knowledge..
Help me find the directions???? Please..

Momof3Es 02-03-2011 07:07 PM

That is beautiful! If you find them posted on the board please pass them on! I would love to make this!!

This is beautiful. i get 43 pieces across, but could be going blind from counting.

I would think it would be easiest to put together in strips if you don't have a pattern. Any other ideas for assembly?

I may try counting later and will let everyone know. I love the colors and would like to try it.
Susan

dar,
My avatar is our farm logo - The Lake Arabians... It is an artist's view of our stallion sliding (as in a reining slide) on The Lake..

nativetexan 02-04-2011 08:01 AM

if you have to make it up, just take 1/4 of the picture and make it four times and you have the whole quilt.
good luck though!!! my eyes would cross.

I just 'clicked' on the label Celtic mystery., If you scroll all the way down on the page I send, you'll see the start of this 'sew along'. It's very clear, complete with scedules etc, just follow the posts ;-)

WOW, Dya, you must be a better interpreter than me!
i wonder what you are looking at, cause when i try to read this it is SOOOOO confusing. not only is it backwards,
{by date} but in the body of the blog, she tells of all the mistakes there are, so i'm not sure the directions she is giving are all that great......
that's why i'm looking for the pdf she wrote about, but it is nowhere to be found!

brenda21 02-06-2011 02:06 PM

You have to start at the back and read forward...she is "telling" the mistakes but has corrected them on the sheet that shows each chunk. She has broken it down into 25 manageable chunks with each chunk basically being made up of 9 patches...at the end she shows you the order to put each chunk in and sew together to complete the quilt and then you add borders if you want to.....am seriously thinking about starting this...looks awesome.

sandiannie 02-07-2011 07:55 AM

I sent her a message asking her where I could get the 'consise' directions she was working on .. haven't heard anything yet, but will keep you posted if I hear from her

LauraEllen 02-07-2011 10:07 AM

Wow, thanks for posting a link for this beautiful pattern! I know what the next quilt I make for "me" will be now...

sandiannie 02-07-2011 02:10 PM

I think I found out why we can't find the 'consise' pdf version of this ... the woman who created this pattern was able to get it published In Australian Patchwork Quilting Vol. 19 Issue 3 ... I just ordered a back issue (it is from May 2010) ... here is a link about the quilt and the blog for the woman who designed it http://pilgrimsquilts.blogspot.com/s...20knot%20quilt

denilynne 02-08-2011 11:12 AM

I found the book at erica's.com with this pattern called Trinity celtic knot, by Deborah Cohen.

Stogsdill 02-08-2011 11:47 AM

what a story! I had thought of doing a wedding ring quilt for my brother and wife but after reading that I have changed my mind.

newjeepgreen 04-20-2011 09:02 AM

Does anyone know if the chart which goes with this pattern is true. I have printed it and enlarged it so was wondering if there are any mistakes in it before I try it.
Many thanks

I finally got the magazine with the quilt in it, but I also printed a picture out and graphed it so I can compare as I go ... I haven't put it together yet, I had to order more white-on-white for my background

applegramma 04-27-2011 04:25 AM

I love your quilt you are showing for your ID!!! Very Pretty...I. love LOG CABINS, no matter which layout Very Nice Creation!!!

Jammin' Jane 04-27-2011 08:02 AM

Your quilt is awesome!
Great job!

quiltyfeelings 04-27-2011 02:48 PM

I just made this!!! i got it from the blog "lynnes fresh hope". I printed out the "chunks" as she calls them....all 25 of them. Each contain about 9 9patches. There is a total of 1,849 squares in it. I'm not sure how to post to here as I just printed out the pages from her blog. just make sure you get all 25 chunks and the layout. BE SURE TO LABEL EACH CHUNK IN THE UPPER LEFT CORNER...yes, i intended to yell that! Let me know if you can't find it. It took me awhile to find and print all 25 chunks from her blog. It also took me 3 full days of a 3 day quilting retreat to do it! But mine turned out beautifully! Hope this is helpful.

quiltyfeelings 04-27-2011 02:51 PM

yes, the directions for the chunks on her blog are correct.

bisseau 04-27-2011 05:26 PM

What great colors and a terrific pattern

MellieKQuilter 05-09-2011 11:40 AM

Did you start the quilt? I am thinking about starting it, but I would also like the pattern, not follow the blog....
