Thanks everyone.

BC I just looked at the pic to assemble it, made a wild guess. I did use the templates tho to cut it out. It was fun to make. now to figure out what to do with more of them.

That is great! I love the red and the lace.

It is surprisingly easy, isn't it? Just a few pieces. Takes more time to do the embellishments, and decide on them, than it does to sew the block together. :-)

I really have to admire the quilters who have the gift of embellishing. I do imagine it would take a great deal of time, and you are to be commended for doing that kind of detail work. Not my cup of tea, though I admire it greatly. It just seems more creative than I was endowed with.

It's easy dude... just looks complicated! :-) Just take a piece of lace, or ribbon, and sew it onto the piece before you put the block together. That's it. :-)

Love it sewnsewer! Did you paper piece or foundation? I've got to do these... soon!

Butterfli19 05-25-2009 01:44 AM

I know! Make a bunch of dresses, make some patchwork, some striped, some polka dot, some casual and some formal, and call it "fashion show".

Wait a minute, this is your design... :D

quiltwoman 05-25-2009 03:41 AM

When do you want my address?? LOL That block is so neat! I can't wait to see more.

sandpat 05-25-2009 03:46 AM

I'm sorry - I thought Blue pieced them over paper templates? I hadn't got around to looking at the patterns until now. I guess you can just piece them the ordinary way? The red dress looks great anyway! :D

The patterns are in this thread, page 2 and 3 I believe. There are 12" and 8" versions.

Love your dress.

I have been thinking it is time that my youngest granddaughter gets a quilt for her big girl bed. She has a baby quilt that matches her older sister's twin size quilt. This might be a good one that will grow with her.

MissTami 05-27-2009 07:35 PM

I left you a pm.
