I remember the pot holders. My friends and I all had looms when we were kids. We must have made a million of them. I am looking forward to seeing your finished rug. Good luck.

I liked these too, but didn't thnk I would every get it done with this method. I crocheted a couple of denim rugs instead. Spent about 2 days making one. Much faster.

God I wish my hands could do this! Can't wait to see it finished. You'll have it forever!

very interesting. My grandmother made a big rag rug my hand many many years ago and it is still around.

I hope you keep us up to date on this, I would love to follow your progress - I've considered making one of these as well...

I am a weaver, been weaving for several years and I love it. Have made several rugs. I have also woven placemats with strips of leftover fabrics, some made with strips of denim. Love your rug. It is not hard to get it off the loom. Thanks for the pic.

Thank you - I have a ton of strips of mostly unattractive strips and fabrics others have given up on finding something to do with them. GREAT idea and so inexpensive!!!!

The next rug you make start in the middle and work to the ends.It comes off the loom with no need to finish anything.
