I made this large quilt and used inexpensive silky dark brown polyester fabric. (The pattern calls for Dupiani silk) The quilt is embroidered with gold metallic thread. It took 14 spools. I used Coats & Clark brand. Loved the thread. Did not make any adjustments to my machine. Used prewound white bobbins and dark brown embroidery thread for the stippling, which is done in the pattern. I like your colour choice much better than the blue on the pattern. It looks amazing, thats a lot of work, great job.
