Lots of firsts! Paper Piecing

This is a project that challenged me quite a bit, with lots of first time experiences.
I have not done any paper piecing, this may not have been the best thing for a first pp project.
First time for Y-seaming - those turned out pretty good, but I could rely on my years of garment sewing experience to help out there.
And first time to work with Fairy Frost (shimmery fabric), actually may have been a good choice, as it has a lot of body even without starching.

I still have to add borders and quilt it (no idea what I will do there, suggestions? anyone)

The pattern is Feathered Snowflake Star Wallhanging by Raggedy Ruth Designs.

Very pretty and great job for a first time with a new technique. I love the soft blue color you chose.

Verry pretty. Congrats on your first PPing attempt. imho, I would border this beauty with HSTs in the same colors. It is wonderful.

That is a beautiful block. Excellent job, I would never guess it was your first using this method.

For all of those firsts it came out beautiful! Fairy frost was an excellent choice for fabric.

Very pretty! Great job for your first PP attempt. My first was posted on here the other day...the New York Beauty blocks. It's almost like thinking "backwards" for me. I got really "chummy" with my seam ripper. haha

I hope you show us more of your work.
