Congratulations on all your firsts! It is a beautiful quilt! And the recipe sounds great! It would an easy one to do on our girlfriends' reunion trip as we usually rent a hotel suite and have access to a microwave.

Recipe is under this post at my blog! We have a problem keeping them around. Going to see my son in a few weeks at collage--I will be bring thme up to him too.

This was a challange. They were none of the fabrics that I would normally pick. But I ended up loving it!!!

Great job on your quilting. I have done this paper piecing and think it is a fabulous pattern.

I have received several requests on what the pattern is:

The block comes from Carol Doaks "50 Fabulous Paper-Pieced Stars" (one for each state). This one is the Vermont Star.
I have used the book in so many ways, tablerunners, wallhangings and lap quilts. It also comes with a CD so you do not have to copy.
