I am not good giving advice, but that is sure one cute quilt. Your princess will love it.

Too much color...maybe I should have planned it out better. I sure could have used electric quilt on this one.

My 8 yr old says more of the aqua around the edge :D She thinks that there isn't quite as much aqua as there is pink or purple. Audition your fabrics and see what you like the best, your GD is going to love this quilt.

That's lovely! How big are your squares? The colors go so well together. Did it take you very long to make?

Bluebird...Thank your 8 year old for her input...it always pays to check with the experts (the kids...they tell you exactly what they think). There really isn't as much aqua as any other color... I didn't get the picture centered on the whole quilt top but there is less aqua in the top.
No GD's here...the quilt is not for a GD but for a niece...that's why I'm auntluc. lol.
ljsunflower...the squares are 12 1/2" unfinished...I started on the quilt top on Monday and am about ready to finish the last border. I'll post a pic when I get the bottom border done.
I decided to go with the purple like BarbM suggested...that lady knows what she's talking about when it comes to color.
The purple border is just what it needed.

The Princess top is ready...I have to get the backing for it yet.
I think I'll go with the purple portrait fabric for the backing.
