I've been working with my 8 yo GD too. Posted yesterday what we've been doing. Next project is a knit nightgown at the serger. I've let my GD's play with fabric since they were 2 and 3 years old. They love fabric--I think I may have created good monsters! |
Beautiful girl and real cute quilt. My son helped make a quilt for him when he was about 9 years old. He still tells people that he made it. I let him run the sewing machine while sitting in my lap. He did do a good job.

Shes so cute and what a good job she did. My 8 year old granddaughter made a pillowcase for Girl Scouts and it was all peace symbols too. Reminds me of the 60's.

I just showed this photo to my granddaughter who is staying with me for the week. She wants to learn to use the machine and this is such an encouragement for her. My DGD is eight and a half so she can relate to Miss Brodie and her quilt with ease.
