Made by 8 yr old, patchwork quilt
 

My 8 yr old grand daughter Brodie is visiting from Lousiana, and wanted to make a quilt, I cut out the fabric, she sewed all the blocks together. I added the borders and machine quilted it, simple in the ditch and X in the blocks.
She is quite pleased with herself, even told her aunt "sewing is easy and fun"

The colors are not the best in the picture, it is lavendars and bright pink.

Very pretty! And way to go ... Brodie is learning a life-long creative skill. She should be very proud of her work. You too! Thanks.

Very cool quilt, and I think it's great that she is learning so young. I didn't start quilting til about 4 or 5 months ago, and i'm over 40
