Cute block!!

I would consider it a wall hanging or table topper. Peggy

Just simply measure it with a ruler, tape measure or the lines of your cutting board. You might want to starch it nice and press it flat with your iron. You can then "square it up" as needed. Your block is adorable! You can get a lot of tips by checking out YouTube, especially Missouri Star Quilt Company tutorials. Go for it, girl!

Limit of 1 set of 3.5" blocks to keep things fair.) |
Very pretty block. Have it earmarked.

Very cute block.

That is a very beautiful block, just measure and that the size it will be.

I'm afraid that your pretty block is not eligible for that particular block exchange. From what we can see in the photo, it looks like 11 inches wide by maybe 12.5 inches long (can't see exactly). The exchange calls for "divisible by 3" and the 11 inches part won't qualify.
The "divisible by three" part means the blocks can be 3.5, 6.5, 9.5, 12.5, or 15.5, etc. Your note doesn't give enough info to tell if the exchange is specific about requiring "squares" vs a "rectangle" like yours. Save this cute block for something else or make a wallhanging or pillow from it! |
Sure is a cute block!! You did good!
|
Love that pink swirly flower pot!
|
Grey and rainy here. The bright colors actually made me smile. Great work!

Beautiful quilt block.

so, if you are trying to make this block fit into the swap rules you need to measure it- then see if the measurements are divisible by 3---meaning if it is (9 1/2" x 12 1/2" ---with the 1/2" seam allowance it would be a correct size---
you have to start with measuring your block- subtract 1/2" from the measurment- if the number left can be divided by 3 you add the 1/2" seam allowance back on and are 'good to go' if it is not divisible by 3 you would need to either trim it down to make it work- or add to it---such as- if it measures 8 1/2" x 12 1/2"...you would need to add an inch to the 8" side- if it measured 13"x 16" you would need to trim away a 1/2" (making it 12 1/2" x 15 1/2"- which divides by 3) |
Really cute! Good job!

Ok Thank you for all of the nice comments and Thank you for the help in the measurements
|
It's the perfect size for a pretty little Valentine's Day wallhanging! Math was not my best subject in school so I'll leave it to the mathematicians.
