Found a way to use the shiney fabrics my DD brought me from Kathmandu, Nepal. Thanks for the tute Pam! Was gret fun and that won't be the last one. Had to take a break from my BOM! It was already silky and full of brocade so didn't embellish it and I don't have any beads but they are on my list. Mine was kind of flat and I really stuffed it full. What did I do wrong Pam?
Fun to use the decorative stitches on my machine. One veiw. I used flannel on the bottom. |
Hi Jan,
I think your pin cushion is so pretty. The fabrics your daughter brought you are just beautiful. What if you had lined the top before stuffing? Maybe the fabrics stretch at a different ratio!! That's the only thing I can think of. Pam will definately be able to tell you. Thanks for sharing, Cheryl :D :D :D :D |
Very pretty!!! (Didn't look flat to me!)

That's pretty!! You did a great job. Mine aren't big and rounded either but maybe don't pull it as tight around the CD and put more stuffing? I would just try different ways of doing it. It's a great way to use fancy fabrics that you might not put in a quilt.
It isn't my tute, I found it posted in the Links section. I've made 3 of them, gave two away and one for myself. I have several dozen CDs to make some more when I clear up a few projects that are almost done. |
Beautiful!!! I love the fabric and fancy stitches :D :D :D
