How beautiful. I had heard of that idea 43 years ago so after my wedding My Mom took my lace train and did the same. Was to be handed down for generations and spent all its time in a cedar chest but after 30 years the lace was falling apart and unrepairable so its long gone.
But this one is spectacular!

You did a fantastic job! She still has her wedding dress and the christening gown is even more special since it is made from part of her wedding dress! That is the most clever idea!
