Magnetic Snaps

Does anybody know how to use this? It says it's a sew-in snap, but I can't figure out how to sew it.

My guess is you sew through the plastic with a piece on each side of whatever you are closing, would look nicer with the snap sewn on the back of the fabris, I'm sure it would work through the fabric, the plastic would give it support

I used those on a purse that I made ... works great!! I loved them.
Yes, you want to sew them into place inside a fabric pocket or tab. Keep the stitching as tight as you can to the magnet, as within time the plastic will open up and the magnet will escape. And make sure you get the magnets facing the right way, or else they aren't going to work! The challenge of stitching ... all the metal parts in your machine and the magnets. It kept grabbing on as I worked at it. A bit annoying, but take your time and you'll be pleased! |
looks like it could be very handy

Well now, isn't that tricky!! I like that method better than the ones with the prongs. Too bad they're so expensive.
Thanks!!! |
