Wow, that's beautiful! The design was beautiful before you cut it apart, too! Can't wait to see the finished project!

Thank you! I'm still plugging away satin stitching the shapes down - time consuming but I like the effect, looks like leading. I'm on my third needle - they go blunt really quickly with the batik, fusible AND stabiliser! LOL

Didn't know that about the needles! I did know they get gummy and I have to clean them often.

Steam a Seam hardly makes gum, I never have to clean the needle, anyway. I notice the bluntness when I'm at a sharp point and the needle is pushing the fabric down into the hole in the plate a little instead of going through cleanly, then I change it. In fact I notice it before then as it starts to thunk as it goes through the fabric, but I'm naughty and make it last a tiny bit longer!
I must admit that I got mind-numbed with it and am now playing with a black and white art quilt based on something I saw at the Festival of Quilts, but I WILL get back to it soon! :-D

It's amazing that is a fabric creation! I feel like I'm looking at a stained glass window in a cathedral! You should publish your technique and more patterns! Breathtaking!
