Mandi's Taekwondo 9 Patch Quilt, quilted by Gramyx7
 

Mandi sent me this beautiful scrapy 9 patch quilt top. It is for her 14 yr old daughter, Her daughter picked out all the fabrics, and said , all I want is Bright Orange thread,
Mandi told me her daughter is into Taekwondo and wondered if i could incorporate that some how, so I went to a few sites, and I saw this little figure, about a inch big.. I traced it off my screen, and I kept drawing it until I got it big enough to fit into one of the 9
patches. I put this little guy in each corner and I did a feather meander all over the rest of the quilt.

We used Hobbs Polydown batting...

Thank you so much for sending me this quilt.. I had a lot of fun quilting it for you, and if your daughter looks real close, she will find 5 or 6 very tiny butterflies through out the quilt :)

What kind of thread did you use for the machine quilting? Is it an extra thick type or is that just the way you did the close up?
