I finally finished this one. It's going to my son who is a Staff Sargeant in the USMC and is a Drill Instructor at Parris Island, SC. I fussy cut the squares and used the alphabet on my Janome 6600 for the wording. He's in the Second Batallion whose colors are yellow and red. It will be on its way to a new home soon. Semper Fi.

Oh! how beautiful. I am sure he will cherish it forever. Good job. I get some wonderful ideas from here but never pursue them because of work and GC.

I love this quilt. I am researching fabrics to make one for my Grandson who became a Marine Jan 2011. Can you tell me what the pattern is that you used? I just started quilting this year and am hooked.
