I wantto add my comments of good wishes and the success I had with right-side mastectomy, 11 years ago. Beautiful Mariners compass blocks....thanks for sharing. I have made a few pieces in that pattern, but not a full quilt, so it is on my "bucket list"

This is to send you my very best wishes for full, successful recovery from surgery and completion of your wonderful quilt. Of course you must give it to you sister personally! appreciate your sharing.

Hi everyone, I'm a little sore from surgery but I've got a lot of family here to help me. They tell me don't do this & don't do that. It's hard because my youngest DGD is 16mo & knows that I'm usually going to pick her up when she wants me to. My son, my daughter & son in law & DGD's are living here with my husband & I until they get to move into their first time purchased homes. They both signed closing documents yesterday (the day after my surgery). My dad is here right now too. It's a full house but it's been a lot of fun & I wouldn't trade it for the world. Apparently I had two lumps instead of one in my right breast & they took them both. Also the surgeon took the two main lymph nodes (sentinel nodes) & one small lymph node. I have some results from tests on the lymph nodes. He almost didn't take the small one but decided to do it. The larger nodes were cancer free but the small one did have cancer. I'm not sure what my prognosis will be because of this...but I'm in God's hands & I won't worry. Again, thanks to everyone for your prayers & nice comments about the Mariner's compass quilt (WIP) for my sister. It is wonderful to have so much support. May God Bless you! Pam

God bless you in your recovery Pam. With so many wonderful people around you you should have no problem keeping that positive attitude that is so important to a speedy recovery. Let them wait on you hand and foot and sit back and enjoy their love and comfort.

This quilt is just gorgeous. I pray that your surgery goes well. My daughter and I did the Breast Cancer 3-day together couple of summers ago. We walked 60 miles and raised over $5,000 ourselves to help find a cure.

Your quilt is beautiful. So glad to hear you have so much help and support at home after surgery and that you are on the mend. Cancer can be beat. Trust in the Lord.
