Mario Quilt

1 Attachment(s)
This is a twin sized quilt I made for a friend who made a Mario bed for his 4 year old son. It is made entirely out of 3" squares. The little boy loved it (and so did his dad!).

adorable! My son would have loved that quilt when he was little. We spent hours and hours playing Mario.

MamaBear61 07-13-2013 04:19 AM

That is awesome. Well done. Did you make up the pattern yourself?

Dyan 07-13-2013 04:20 AM

This is awesome! What a neat idea. So many kids don't remember the original mario. Very cool way to reminisce.

Awesome work!

mamab113 07-13-2013 07:05 AM

I googled an "old school mario quilt" which came up with the pattern (graft) for mario, then I added the box. I'll look and see if I still have the pattern. All it really required was a box of crayons and a piece of graft paper.

Your quilt is just adorable. I, too, would love to have the pattern. I have a 31 year old who is still addicted to video games (do they ever grow up?).

He would die laughing if I surprised him with a quilt like this!

Sweet quilt.

Sandrea 07-15-2013 09:26 AM

That's what I love about QB. Things we would never know that are out there for us to take advantage of, and all the great people on QB that share ideas and where to find things. Hugs to all of you, Sandrea

P.S. Thanks tamjonw... I just downloaded all the Mario figures that you told us where to find on the internet, love them.

btiny36 07-15-2013 09:43 AM
