I made this quil several years ago for my dear friend Mary who did of cancer. We have known each other since we were 7yrs. old. She wanted covered in this quilt and then died. I still miss her very much. We even married our husbands together.

your story both warms and breaks my heart. i've been friends with my bestest since i was five...i cannot imagine losing her. but to know that your quilt gave her warmth and comfort in her last moments is very special...she knew she was wrapped in your love. i'm sorry for your loss. it is a beautiful quilt.

Oh Hillgal!! I am so sorry to hear you lost your life long friend. I am glad to see you talking about her though. It is a proccess to heal and that is part of it.
I really nice man once told me that you never get over it, you just learn to be able to smile when you think of them. I liked that. It is real.
