These dresses were so much fun to make. The top half is knitted and the bottom half is fabric.
Sorry to say the only "quilting" involved are the yo yo's stitched at the bodice.
The little one was not cooperating with standing so I could get a good photo of the dress...so had to settle for them sitting.

The bodice is knitted. Super simple pattern, I think it took me around an hour to knit once I figured out the directions that is.
The skirt part is fabric which is gathered for fullness.

Oh I can remember when my grandgirls were that age! So cute!!!
