Hi, my material arrived today from Colonialcrafts.com, so good service from them as I ordered only 7 days ago.

These are FAT EIGHTS, 20 of them and I thought you might like to see them in case you want to buy some. Cost 25$ PLUS POSTAGE. Its called the Dear Jane Bundle on their site. I think they have 4 or 5 to choose from this is the pink and brown choice.

What you think. Me I am happy :D :D :D. PS before any of you ask its for a project in the future.

Some really pretty ones here too

At the moment no Melissa, I am going to have to get some fabrics for my next quilt (oh there is no stopping me) but think it will be costly so hanging fire till I get my pattern for it to see what is needed and I will need some advice on Muslin because I think that is the basis of the next one.

Glad you like, even if you donīt buy as you say you can spend some drool time, the material is a good quality.

Bebe, afraid I am not starting a Dear Jane in the near future as I have found another that just caught my eye, oh my here I go again. I am going to have to make a record of everything I want to make, what I may do is make a couple of Civil War Blocks with that fabric.
The one I am going to make next is the Peony Quilt on the Hoopla.com site, I just fell in love with it. Check it out Bebe I think its gorgeous.

I thought you all would be interested to see the fabrics though and to know the service is good when I can get it here in Spain in good time-

Very nice, I like that one. I wonder are all the bundles (if I got the one you got) if they are the same or different.

I donīt know about that, but as you are in America I suppose it would be easier for you to phone and ask.

They are very nice, I really like them.

I got my book to day Civil War Love Letters, really is fascinating to read. Theywere so respectful in these day of their womenfolk. A lovely read.

Craftybug 08-08-2008 10:36 AM

Really pretty fabrics, my fav. pink!

Marcia 08-09-2008 08:38 PM

Elle-I love your fabrics and I am tickled to death that you are thinking of making a Dear Jane quilt. I am going to make a URR quilt first and then do some more thinking about a DJ--but I do not think it will happen in my lifetime!! Keep us posted on your progress!!

Butterflyspain 08-09-2008 11:42 PM

Thanks Marcia, however, I decided that I wouldnīt live long enough to finish a Dear Jane. LOL At my age you have to be careful you know too much stress and all that. Have decided however to do a Civil War Quilt and if you all want a peak at the pattern that I am impatiently waiting for here is the link. Made in 1863 and I think it is just beautiful.

By the way received the Book, Civil War Love Letter Quilt. What a lovely read and great patterns too.

This thread is dated 2008, you have picked up an old thread which I have done on many occasions. I am doing the Dear Jane Quilt as a BOM on this board but have decided to use Asian fabrics. Check the BOM on we are now more that half way through the blocks and I am loving it.
