Went to that little wonderful fabric shop in Channelview and got about 36 yds of fabric for $2.00 a yds. Miss Dovie and Shirley, are the sweetest two people you ever want to meet. It's worth the trip. Here's what I bought. While you are there be sure and go eat at the Chinese place, delicious.

I agree, they are the nicest people! And the fabric is amazing! I considered the rooster fabric for my DSIL. Maybe.......

Totally off the subject - but when I saw your name on your post I was blown away - my grandmother's name was Willie Mae (my fathers side) and my grandma's name (my mom's side)was Dovie. Too very uncommon names in one post. Although they were originally from Texas/Oklahoma - perhaps the name is more common in that area. I love my local quilt store too - its nice to hear that you can get great service.

What is your local shop's name? I travel the state a lot and would like to see it.

Wooden Spools - in Yreka, CA - about as far north in California before you hit the Oregon border.
