McKenna Ryan "Home Tweet Home" blocks done!!
1 Attachment(s)
This is how I spent this past week!! Finally got the 9 blocks done! Boy, there were sure some small pieces!! I used my own fabrics, since I have been collecting Batik FQs for a while for it. It is fused, and once it is sandwiched, they will be quilted, then I will add embellishments. First, I need to get the final pattern for sashings and border, or at least the measurements and directions. Does anyone out there have it and is willing to sell??? This was so much fun to make if anyone loves fusible appliqué !

Beautiful!

Very nice quilt

Masterful job of chosing the colors and doing the applique. I don't know if I will ever be that ambitious.

Gorgeous blocks! I love McKenna Ryan's patterns but they do require determination.

Love it. McKenna Ryan anything is on my to do list.... Oh, I wish I had more hours in a day:) So many beautiful quilts to be done so little time. You have inspired me to move one of her patterns to the top of my to-do list. :)

Great job on this Jill!! Love her patterns! Are you keeping this one for yourself-? :)
|
McKenna Ryan's patterns are great but require a lot of work. Your quilt turned out gorgeous and so worth the time.
|
Very cute, (even if upside down, LOL). It looks like the "official" setting is pretty simple, something you could do without a pattern. http://pineneedles.com/SuperStore/Su...ssortmentID=59 I have some McKenna Ryan patterns (not this one) and have been dreading all those small pieces, which is why they're not done yet.

I bought all the kits as a BOM. Haven't attempted to start it yet. Seeing your picture inspires me to tackle mine. I hope mine turns out as nice as yours. I think the cutting out of the little pieces will be a good thing to do while watching TV with DH. A lot of the time I don't care what is on the TV, DH sometimes likes me in the room with him. LOL. Thanks for sharing.

I LOVE this quilt!! You did a beautiful job. I have looked at it so many times and thought maybe someday...doing only one block at a time is a good idea. You did a really nice job using your own fabrics. Thank you for sharing. The squirrel block is my favorite! Little rascal!

Stunning quilt!!! Great job.

Beautiful!! Your work is great. A McKenna Ryan pattern is on my to-do list, some day. Such detail in her patterns. You did a fantastic job. Enjoy it in your sewing nook.

You have inspired me to get going on mine. I, too, have the nine blocks but the sashing and border on the original look pretty easy, so I think I will just "wing" it. I purchased the laser cut blocks however, but wanted to perfect my FMQ to do the edge stitching first. You did a fabulous job on yours. You must have a great batik stash.

Beautiful blocks, great job, Thank you for sharing
Have a Blessed day Ellen |
Lovely and great fabric selection. I've done one small McKenna Ryan but have two large ones to do, so good to know you found it not too challenging. As for sashing, I'd think you could make it a width/fabric you like to offset the blocks without a pattern. McKenna's website might be a source for ideas.

Very nice. I love birdhouses and yours make my heart sing as much as your birds!
