This is what I am using for my friend's baby quilt. Do you thnik it looks okay color wise? What changes would you make? I was going to add border/sash between each 12 inch block and around the whole quilt but, ran out of the cute print before I could add another row to make it 12 inch. So I am undecided on how to do the border/sash and what color. What do you think?

If you have enough of the solid, you could do a border of 1x4 inch strips all around, with a narrow solid border of one of the colors between the strips and the blocks. I like the layout of the quilt, by the way. It has interest without being too busy.

Very cute. Since it is a baby quilt, I would go with either the white or cream (or is it yellow?) solid.

I think it is really cute. Personally I would add a border of one of the bright colors like the red, blue or green. It would make it really pop and frame the quilt nicely. Just an opinion, but it is rally cute!

Good job! |
It's a cute quilt. I would add a solid-color border.

Babies love the primary colors. I would go with blue or red.

Looks good to me!

I want to thank everyone for helping me. I will make the border and possibly put the samecolor strips between each row. Also around the edge of blanket.

Barf colored.. sorry but babies spit up sometimes and its a tiny bit cream colored and a bit more if formula fed. So those stains are HARD to get out I would chose something that has a bit of color to it that might hide it. Nothing like a mom to be practical but mine all were spitters.. the colors are nice otherwise.

Very pretty!!! I like the idea of bringing in more of the bright colors, too :D:D:D

I'd use for one or several borders , the brighter colors: red, blue, etc., perhaps with the cream in between, so they'd alternate. Babies like bright colors and can see them better than pastels. All my baby things were bright colors, if made by me.

Som mother will be very lucky to get this baby quilt. Babies love bright colors, why not make the binding out of all your primary colors. I have done that before and it turns out very well.
|
It's looking great. I would use bright colors to border the blocks. Babies love bright colors.

I think a color not used in the quilt center would look nice or make a scrapy border using the colors used in there already. I am sure it will look realy nice however you finish it.
|
Thanks for the suggestions. As soon as I finish the baby's quilt, I will post the picture. Hope you will like it.
