I thought that I would share a few of the towels that I have made with my new embrodiery machine. I started out making a couple for myself and took them to work and everyone asked me to make some to sell. I so far have sold 43 and have orders for more.

Well, how about that!!! That's wonderful that so many people at work want them. I bet they plan on giving them for gifts because they are so cute. You're going rate must be pretty good. I know how long it takes to make one of those. You are doing a wonderful job. Is it a Bernina? You probably have already told but I missed it.

I have a cheap Brother Disney that I picked up at Walmart on clearance. When I bought it I thought that I would just use it for quilt labels but since I have it I have not done any quilting. I just love to play on it. Yes, I do take orders. I made up 25 of them and took them to work and several people placed orders from seeing them. For this first round I charged $4 no matter what but the next batch I think that I'm going to charge $4 for the ones that don't take too much thread and $5 for the ones that take a lot of thread.
I'm glad that you all like them.

They are way too cute! Good for you - you could end up with so many orders you won't be getting a lot of quilting done. Thanks for sharing.

Make lots of $$$$

sewnsewer2 06-29-2008 12:49 AM

Good job! Are you using tearaway stabilizer on the back and WSS on top? If you use the WSS (water soluable stabilizer) your stitches won't sink into the fabric. I' can't see if it does, I'm just passing some info on to you in case you didn't know it.

Walmart has H2gone WSS and it works great!

mgshaw 06-29-2008 08:26 AM
