Some friends of mine lost their grandson in the fall. I made this quilt in the design of the cross and used pictures of their grandson and his family. 5 friends received "blank" blocks from me and wrote messages to his family and then returned the blocks to me to be incorporated in the "cross".

What a lovely, thoughtful thing to do. It will comfort them spiritually as well as physically.
