My friend Cindy was distraught over her special keepsake Halloween sweater falling apart. It was given to her by her beloved mom, who passed away 15 years ago. So she asked me to try and rescue the sweater. There was nothing left of the sweater other than the adorable applique of the black cat (he's big). So I recommended that he be put on a pillow, so that she could keep him out all the time and remember her mom.
Here's the pillow I did for her featuring her black cat, I did a moon applique as well as a partial wall where the cat 'sits'.
She just loved it!

Adorable!! Love the kitty, and what an ingenious way of preserving and enjoying a good memory.

I'm glad you all liked it, it was a joy for me to do for her! Amazingly enough, the cat was in almost new condition, while the rest of the sweater was so tattered and tread bare! He had a special mission and deserved a place of recognition!
Kind Regards,
MaryAnna

That is a really cute pillow that you made -

And that you were able to "rescue" part of the sweater makes it very special.
