I designed it myself using EQ7. It took me best part of a month to get the design right but it was worth it in the end. I used the EQ Printable Cotton Satin Inkjet Fabric Sheets. They are very simple to use - as easy as printing a photo on paper - plus the extra steps of removing the plastic backing, soaking in water for 15 mins and then leaving flat to dry. I made my first photo quilt 2 years ago for my grandson's 18th, and used the EQ Premium Cotton Lawn Sheets, but I found them a bit flimsy - the satin ones are much better - but not cheap! The only initial problem I had was discovering that the sheets are not A4 but letter-size. Once I had adjusted my printer setting, it was fine.
All the blocks were PP, even the log cabin. I found this was much more accurate. I discovered packs of A4 tracing paper at my local stationers, which went through the printer without any problems. This meant that I didn't have to do any reversing of blocks because I could see the lines clearly on both sides! I just couldn't get my head round reversing them! The paper tore away easily from the fabric. The outer borders were stitched on till rolls. I made sure I did a locking stitch at beginning and end, on the paper, with a little extra fabric extending either side, and then I trimmed it with ruler and blade. It's the first time I've done this and it was so easy! Beth, I do hope some of this is of help to you!
