Memory quilt from flannel shirts
1 Attachment(s)
I made a memory lap quilt for my mother-in-law from plaid flannel shirts and a bathrobe that belonged to my father-in-law. I bought additional flannel solids and small prints to mix with the plaids. The block is from the "Scraps and Shirttails" book by Bonnie Hunter. I set it on point and added the applique of burr oak leaves. These were traced from some of the huge old oaks on their property. On the back with the label I included a pocket from one of the shirts he wore frequently.
