I made this quilt for my daughter and gave it to her on Mother's Day. I used clothing from her Grandparents, who are gone now, as well as fabric from old aprons that belonged to her great grandmothers. Also is fabric from clothes from her kids, her Dad, me and some from her. It was a challenge with all the different fabric types! I hand tied this one.

beachy, that is such a nice (treasure), gift! so many memories in it.
I just melt, when ppl say they have made things from family clothing.
Sometimes, I wear hubby's shirts just to feel close to him. :D

I can just imagine the tears coming from your daughter on Mother's Day---what a fabulous treasure you have given her.

Can you show us close up pics of the center blocks that are not nine patches? (I'm nosy  )

So Cool! Such a lovely gift.

I didn't get really good pics :(

Some of the odd squares were things cut out of baby clothes or t-shirts....what a pain!! I used iron on interfacing to keep those from stretching. The really large one was from a t-shirt my daughter got at a concert she went to one time. I had to get really creative with the fabrics to use around the smaller things. My daughter picked out the pink and black that surrounds the quilt.

Every time she wraps herself up in this quilt, it will be like getting a hug from everyone she loves :D :D :D
