Memory quilts complete
4 Attachment(s)
Back in November a coworker asked me if I would be interested in sewing some kind of memory quilt for her and her sister and mom with her dad's shirts and hats, etc. I told her I would try.... here is the results... I ended up making four quilts and they want one more.... I have never seen so many hats, t-shirts emblems... etc. This man was a truck driver, union man, race car fan, loving father and grandfather. Hope you enjoy seeing them.

Very nice! I didn't think of using hat logos or ties in a memory quilt. My husband was a truck driver and I have patches from his uniforms too. I saved some of his clothes for memory bears but I still haven't started them yet and it's been nearly 4 years. Maybe I will do 2 memory quilts instead. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks sdeaaz! I can't bring myself to cut up his jackets yet. My boys aren't as broad shouldered as my husband was so I don't know why I am keeping them. One step at a time I guess.
